The moon is about to have its BIG moment in the sun! On Monday, April 8, there will be a *total* solar eclipse visible right here in South Charleston, West Virginia. To help you prepare, join us on Tuesday, April 2 at 6:00pm to learn all about eclipses! Eclipse-themed snacks will be served, and participants will receive a pair of safe eclipse viewing glasses to take home with them (one per household). This event is geared toward families with children of varying ages, but all are welcome to attend!!

SCPL is excited to be working with the Green Bank Observatory to bring The Franklin Institute’s Mission2Mars program to South Charleston. Mission2Mars is a nationwide engagement program catalyzing community partnerships across the country around NASA's Artemis missions & learning resources.
